- TfL STAR and Modeshift STARS Accreditation – the new school travel plan & STARS campaign tool kit support for Sutton
London Borough of Sutton
Engage expanding schools in specific campaign toolkits that will support schools to reduce the numbers coming by car or maintain it in the face of increased numbers of pupils, and support them through the implementation of the campaigns.
An introductory workshop for schools was provided to enthuse and inspire – covering the ‘what works?’ guidance and a brief introduction to the toolkits with a sign up process. Two shorter campaign specific workshops were then held for those schools participating, where the campaigns were looked at in detail and schools were supported to plan their campaigns and address any barriers they could see arising in the process of implementation.
Email updates and phone calls to the schools were provided through-out the campaign period so that schools campaign leaders had a point of contact, advice at the end of the phone and regular reminders as to what their next steps were.
Evaluation is currently taking place and is expected to be positive.
